Canadian Youth Business Foundation (CYBF) is a nationally registered charity that helps young people who have great ideas but little money to start and build businesses. Its uniquely successful model for supporting young entrepreneurs combines seed-financing up to a maximum of $15,000 with mandatory mentoring from experienced volunteers.

CYBF consists of 3 Core Programs:

1) Business Start-Up Financing (loans up to a max. of $15,000)

2) Mentoring

3) Online Learning Resources

CYBF’s combination of loans and mentoring has been a huge success. Since its founding in 1996, CYBF loans have enabled more than 1,500 new young entrepreneurs launch businesses that together have generated some $158 million in gross sales, $37 million in tax revenue and more than 8,000 jobs.

CYBF helps young entrepreneurs even if they don’t need a loan through both information and advice through its websites and a variety of learning materials, including a business plan guide, examples of financial statements and business support software.
