OUTSTANDING BUSINESS PLAN AWARD

The Business Plan Award is to reward the efforts of the entrepreneur who has created a thorough Business Plan document. The following eligibility criteria must be met for this award: • Market research justification • Full operating plan. • Complete financial analysis. • Must be in Guelph/Wellington County area or a participant of the Centre. • Cannot be a previous winner of this award. • Two copies of Business Plan must be submitted with application • Judging is based solely on the application, Business Plan & personal interview

INNOVATIVE MARKETING AWARD

The following eligibility criteria must be met for the Marketing Idea award: • Must have been in business no more than three years. • Can demonstrate a good marketing idea. • Achieved exceptional results. • Must be in Guelph/Wellington County area or a participant of the Centre. • Cannot be a previous winner of this award. • Judging is based solely on the application and/or back up materials submitted (marketing materials, press releases, CD) & personal interview.

NEW BUSINESS AWARD

The New Business Award is to reward the efforts of the entrepreneur who has created a successful and growing business through the application of commitment, dedication, hard work, ingenuity and innovation. The following eligibility criteria must be met for this award: • Must have been in business no more than three years. • Owner/Owners must be over 35 years of age. • Can demonstrate through good business planning a consistent growth and development pattern. • Must be in Guelph/Wellington County area or a participant of the Centre. • Latest financial statement must be included. • Judging is based solely on the application and/or back up materials submitted (marketing materials, press releases, CD) & personal interview.

RETAIL/HOSPITALITY BUSINESS AWARD

The Retail/Hospitality Business Award is to reward the efforts of the entrepreneur who has created a successful and growing business through the application of commitment, dedication, hard work, ingenuity and innovation. The following eligibility criteria must be met for this award: • Must have been in business no more than three years. • Can demonstrate through good business planning a consistent growth and development pattern. • Must be in Guelph/Wellington County area or a participant of the Centre. • Cannot be a previous winner of this award. • Judging is based solely on the application and/or back up materials submitted (marketing materials, pictures, samples, press releases, CD) & personal interview

OUTSTANDING TECHNOLOGY BUSINESS AWARD

The Technology Award is to recognize a small business that feel that they do an exceptional job for their clients. The following eligibility criteria must be met for the Technology Service award: • Must have been in business no more than three years. • Must have utilized technology to enhance and improve productivity • Must be in Guelph/Wellington County area or a participant of the Centre. • Cannot be a previous winner of this award • Must submit testimonials • Judging is based solely on the application and/or back up materials submitted (marketing materials, press releases, CD) & personal interview

The Outstanding Consulting Service Award is to recognize a small business that feel that they do an exceptional job for their clients. RURAL OUTREACH AWARD

The Rural Outreach Award is to reward the efforts of the entrepreneur who has created a successful and growing business through the application of commitment, dedication, hard work, ingenuity and innovation in Wellington County (outside of Guelph). The following eligibility criteria must be met for this award: • Must have been in business no more than three years. • Can demonstrate through good business planning a consistent growth and development pattern. • Must be in Wellington County (outside of Guelph) • Cannot be a previous winner of this award. • Judging is based solely on the application and/or back up materials submitted (marketing materials, press releases, CD) & personal interview
